Sony introduced two new members from the VAIO Z Series in the form of the VAIO VPCZ11Z9E and VAIO VPCZ11X9E. The Sony VAIO VPCZ11Z9E features a choice of Core i7-620m processors from 2.66GHZ up to 3.33GHZ and comes with up to 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 13.1 inch (1920 x 1080) LED display and a 256GB Quad SSD. Meanwhile, the Sony VAIO VPCZ11X9E features a choice of Core i7-620m processors from 2.4GHz to 2.93GHZ and a 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB Quad SSD, and a 13.1-inch (1600 x 900) LED display. Both laptops will be released in March 2010 for around $1,000 each.

Check out the latest addition to MSI’s X-Slim notebook series, the X420. Measuring less than an inch thick, this ultra-slim notebook offers a 14-inch 1366 x 768 HD display, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 1GB DDR3 VRAM graphics card, up to 4GB RAM, up to 500GB hard drive, a 1.3MP webcam, a card reader, SRS-certified audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2x USB ports, eSATA, a 9-hour battery and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

If you are unsatisfied with your gaming laptop, then check out the new Alienware M11x. This 11-inch gaming notebook is capable of playing all games and media in HD at 720p. Unfortunately, Alienware haven’t released full specifications on the M11x. The laptop comes equipped with a battery that provides up to six and a half hours under normal usage, or two hours in gaming mode. Other specs include a VGA out and an HDMI port, so you can connect it to your HDTV. The Alienware M11x will go on sale for sub-$1,000.

LG has Introduced a new ultra-thin notebook to its range by announcing the LG X300. Measuring only 17.6mm thick and weighing just 970 grams, the machine offers an 11.6-inch LCD display, a 2GHz Intel Atom processor, a 2GB RAM, a 1.3MP webcam, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 7-hour battery and runs on Windows 7 OS.

The DreamBook Light U11 is a computer from Pioneer Computers, Australia’s top manufacturer of personal computers since 1996. The laptop provides a 11.6-inch LCD screen with an Intel dual core SU2300 or SU4100 processor and up to 4GB of memory. Additional features include Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel Webcam, three USB ports and a four-in-one memory card reader. The DreamBook Light U11 retails for $630.

Powered by an Intel Core i5-430M 2.26GHz processor, the X77 boasts a 17.3-inch 1600 x 900 LED backlight display, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 graphics card, up to 4GB RAM, dual hard drives with 1TB of total capacity, a multi-format DVD burner, an HDMI port, an eSATA port and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The ASUS X77 should be available in mid January for an estimated price of 1000 Euro (about $1,425).

Packard Bell today introduced a new laptop for Valentino Rossi fans, which is known as the Packard Bell Dot VR46 Valentino Rossi edition. Unfortunately, there are no details on the specs. The notebook looks like a dressed-up version of the Packard Bell Dot M/U, which is also a rebranded version of the Acer Aspire 1410. According to rumors, the laptop is powered by an Intel CULV processor, an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card, and a 11.6-inch LCD display.

Measuring only 23.5mm – 25mm thick, HP’s latest ProBook 5310m/CT is touted as the world’s thinnest business notebook. MSI has added a new ultra-thin notebook to its X-Slim series by announcing the X-Slim X600 Pro. Measuring just 2.5 cm thick, this stylish machine offers a 15.6-inch 1366 x 768 widescreen LCD display, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512MB graphics card, up to 4GB RAM, max 640GB HDD, a 1.3MP webcam, an optional DVD burner or Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Windows 7 OS.

C Koubou Japan has launched their latest Intel Core i7-powered notebook, the Lesance NB 7HP-CL637GW-TypeR. Powered by an Intel Core i7-720QM running at 1.60GHz, the laptop comes equipped with a 15.6-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900, an Intel PM55 Express chipset, a 320GB of hard disk drive, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 GPU with 512MB of VRAM, and a 2GB of RAM. Other specs include a multi-card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, WiFi b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet and a battery life span of only 1 hour 30 minutes. The new PC Koubou Lesance NB retails for 109,980 Yen ($1,238).

Acer will release their latest high-end notebook with Intel Core i7 CPU. Known as the Acer Aspire 8940, the laptop is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM processor with an 18.4-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen display, a 4GB of DDR3 RAM and an nVidia GeForce GTS 250m 1GB graphics card. The Aspire 8940 also supports a 4x Blu-ray / DVD Super-Multi double layer drive, a multi card reader, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFI, an integrated Acer Crystal Eye web camera, and a touch capacitive media control interface. Here is good news for those who are living in the States. Acer has launched the Acer Aspire 5738DG 3D notebook in the US market. The laptop boasts the special TriDef 3D solution, which includes a 3D screen, software and glasses to enable vibrant 3D visuals. Powered by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, the Acer Aspire 5738DG is also capable of translating the 2D experience into a vivid 3D one. NEC comes back with its new ultra-thin CULV-based notebook called the LaVie M. This energy efficient notebook is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron ULV SU2300 processor and equipped with a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 display, up to 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, a 4.1-hour battery and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The NEC LaVie M will go on sale in early November 2009.

Fujitsu has recently launched two high performance laptops from their Amilo Pi series. The Amilo Pi 3560 and 3660 will come with the powerful nVidia GeForce GT 240M graphics card, a 1GB DDR3 RAM, a BrilliantView display with 16:9 widescreen format and a spill-proof keyboard that protects the notebook against accidentally spilled liquids. The Amilo Pi 3660 has an 18.4-inch HD display, while the AMILO Pi 3560 provides a 15.6 or 16-inch HD LCD display.
