CTL has launched the 2go NL2 Classmate PC ruggedized convertible netbook, primarly aimed at education.
Based on Intel’s latest Learning Series Classmate PC reference design, the CTL 2go NL2 features a 10.1-inch resistive touch-screen display at 1024×600 pixels, the 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor with integrated graphics chip, 1GB or 2GB of RAM, storage choices including a 160GB hard drive as well as a 16GB or 32GB solid state drive, a battery life of 6 hours with typical use, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and 3G connectivity, and Windows XP or Windows 7 OS with preloaded educational software.
The 3.7-pound NL2 sports a 1.3MP web camera and microphone, stereo speakers, two USB ports, a 3-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output.
The ruggedized netbook-tablet hybrid has a scratch and water resistant screen, spill resistant keyboard and touchpad, reinforced corners, shock mounted hard drive, a protective rubberized surface, a retractable carrying handle, and optional antimicrobal protection for the keyboard.
