Lenovo has finally released the Lenovo Thinkpad X201 that we mentioned earlier this month. This 12-inch ultra-portable notebook is powered by either a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 or a 2.4GHz – 2.53GHz Core i5 CPU, a 4GB DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, a 2MP webcam, a DVD burner, a fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, WiFi, Bluetooth and Windows 7 OS.
Lenovo has debuted their latest ThinkPad W series that boasts a USB 3.0 interface and a 16GB of DDR3 RAM. The Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds features a Quad-core 2GHz Core i7 CPU with a Quadro FX 3800M for pro-level 3D rendering, a 160GB hard drive or a 128GB SSD, and a slide-out 10-inch secondary screen. The laptop comes with a 17-inch main display that is 100 percent color-accurate thanks to the color sensor that automatically calibrates to different lighting environments. Samsung has begun selling their latest 15.6-inch laptop ‘R530′, which is now available via Amazon for $654. Samsung will launch the first netbook with built-in 4G using Long Term Evolution (LTE). This technology allows the 10-inch Samsung netbok to delivers download speeds of up to 100Mbps thanks to the Samsung Kalmia 4G chipset. The netbook is powered by a 1.66GHz Pine Trail-era Atom, a 1GB of RAM, up to a 250GB drive and 8.5-hour battery (albeit with 4G off). Some of the earliest netbooks with LTE 4G should be available in the US, where Verizon will launch it later this year.
Samsung Australia has confirmed about its plan to launch a Chrome-based netbook later this year.
