Acer today announced their brand new Aspire AS1410 11.6-inch netbook that is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor, a 2GB of RAM (upgradable up to 4GB), a 160GB hard drive, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, and an HDMI out. Running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, the netbook also features a high definition LED display (1366 x 768), a couple of stereo speakers with Dolby Sound Room audio enhancement, three USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, and a multi gesture touchpad. Its 6-cell Li-Ion battery provides up to 6-hours of operating time. The Acer Aspire AS1410 will be released before Christmas for approx. $400.

Apple comes back with its new unibody MacBook for the mass market. The system sports a 13.3-inch 1280 x 800 glossy LED backlit display, 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB graphics card, a 2GB RAM (up to 4GB), a 250GB hard drive, a glass multi-touch trackpad, a built-in SuperDrive, a built-in iSight camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, two USB ports, a Mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet and a built-in lithium-polymer battery that provides up to 7 hours on a single charge. The new unibody MacBook is now available for purchase from Apple’s stores for $999.

The HP Pavilion dv8 will go on sale in the UK on October 22nd, 2009 for £1,300 about $2,000. The 11.6-inch laptop comes jam packed with a 1366 x 768 pixel LCD display, a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron 743 single core CPU, a 250GB hard drive and a 2GB of RAM. This Windows 7-powered laptop comes equipped with a battery that will last for up to 9.5-hour or operating time. The Toshiba Dynabook MX/33 should be available in Japan on October 22nd, 2009 for around $1000.

This mini laptop is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU and sports a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 display, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, WiFi, Ethernet, Windows XP Home OS and a 6-cell battery that can last up to 6.4 hours. The Asus Eee PC 1000HT is expected to be launched later this weekend in Japan for 37,800 Yen (about $421).

HP has confirmed that the availability of the limited edition HP Envy 15 laptop in the US market. Dubbed as the HP Envy 15 Beats, the new model is a collaboration between HP and rapper Dr Dre. The laptop features a Beats sound system and sport a piano black, high-gloss finish rather than the silver finish of the original model, and come with a signature Beats design as found in the Beats by Dr. Dre line of headphones. The HP Envy 15 Beats also comes bundled with Native Instrument’s Traktor LE software and Audio 2 DJ Traktor LE software with Audio 2 DJ multichannel splitter. The tablet features a resistive multitouch display, which means users can use the touchscreen with gloves, unlike devices like the iPhone which use a capacitive touchscreen. This makes it ideal for industrial and field professionals who work with dangerous chemicals or perform their job in extreme weather conditions. Even with gloves, the sensitivity and accuracy of the multi-touch screen is extremely high. The screen features 2048×2048 resolution, 100 points per second report rate, and less than 35ms response time. Acer is gearing up to release a brand new convertible tablet PC known as the Aspire Timeline 1820P. According to Macles, the 1820P will have the same size and basic specs as the 1810T (or 1410 in a few regions). The main differences are; the 1820P will sport an 11.6-inch multi-touch screen and come with Windows 7 OS only.

e-Book reader manufacturer LBook will enter the multitouch tablet market next year with the LBook T9. The tablet will feature an 8.9-inch multitouch LCD display with an Intel Atom z530 1.6GHz processor, a 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard disk drive, and Windows 7 operating system. Additional specs include WiFi, Bluetooth, optional 3G and a battery life of up to 4 hours. The LBook T9 will be launched in March of 2010 for between $350 and $375.
