Acer today announced their brand new Aspire AS1410 11.6-inch netbook that is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor, a 2GB of RAM (upgradable up to 4GB), a 160GB hard drive, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, and an HDMI out. Running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, the netbook also features a high definition LED display (1366 x 768), a couple of stereo speakers with Dolby Sound Room audio enhancement, three USB 2.0 ports, a card reader, and a multi gesture touchpad. Its 6-cell Li-Ion battery provides up to 6-hours of operating time. The Acer Aspire AS1410 will be released before Christmas for approx. $400.

Apple comes back with its new unibody MacBook for the mass market. The system sports a 13.3-inch 1280 x 800 glossy LED backlit display, 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB graphics card, a 2GB RAM (up to 4GB), a 250GB hard drive, a glass multi-touch trackpad, a built-in SuperDrive, a built-in iSight camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, two USB ports, a Mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet and a built-in lithium-polymer battery that provides up to 7 hours on a single charge. The new unibody MacBook is now available for purchase from Apple’s stores for $999.

Here is good news for those who are living in the States. Acer has launched the Acer Aspire 5738DG 3D notebook in the US market. The laptop boasts the special TriDef 3D solution, which includes a 3D screen, software and glasses to enable vibrant 3D visuals. Powered by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, the Acer Aspire 5738DG is also capable of translating the 2D experience into a vivid 3D one. The notebook comes equipped with a 15.6-inch Acer CineCrystal HD display, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement with built-in stereo speakers and a 5.1-channel surround sound output. The price starts fom $779.99 upwards, depending on the specs.

Still remember the HP Pavilion dv8 that we posted in September? Hewlett-Packard has unveiled the pricing details for this new entertainment laptop. The HP Pavilion dv8 will go on sale in the UK on October 22nd, 2009 for £1,300 about $2,000. In case you didn’t know, the laptop features an 18.4-inch LCD display with full 1080p HD resolution, an nVidia GeForce GT230M graphics card with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, an Intel Core i7 processor, a 4GB of RAM, a 640GB (320 x 2) of HDD, and Windows 7 operating system. Other features include a Blu-Ray drive, a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery, and a TV tuner.

Acer is back with its latest netbook ‘Aspire One AOD250′ that sports a dual-boot operating system. This mini laptop is able to operate on either Android or Windows XP Home operating system and offers a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display, an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor, an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, an integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam, a multi-in-1 digital media card reader, a Multi-Gesture touchpad, two built-in stereo speakers, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3 USB 2.0 ports and a 6-cell battery. Price starts at $349.99.

Here is a hands-on video of the Nokia Booklet 3G at a preview in San Francisco. In case you didn’t know, the Nokia Booklet 3G is the company’s first 10-inch netbook that is powered by an Intel Atom processor with an “HD ready” LCD display, an integrated A-GPS, Ovi Maps software, and HDMI out. The Nokia Booklet 3G also has a built in 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi that will provide high speed Internet access on the go. Its battery provides up to 12-hours of operation time.

Acer has introduced a new member to its Aspire Timeline notebook series by launching the AS1810. Targeted towards students and business professionals, the AS1810 is packed with an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 HD LED-backlit display, an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz CPU, an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card, a 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, an integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam, a multi-in-1 digital media card reader, a Multi-Gesture Touchpad, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, a 6-cell battery and Windows 7 OS. The Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810 comes with an MSRP of $599.99.

NEC comes back with its new ultra-thin CULV-based notebook called the LaVie M. This energy efficient notebook is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron ULV SU2300 processor and equipped with a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 display, up to 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, a 4.1-hour battery and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The NEC LaVie M will go on sale in early November 2009.

Toshiba has upgraded its Dynabook laptop family by releasing the Toshiba Dynabook MX/33. The 11.6-inch laptop comes jam packed with a 1366 x 768 pixel LCD display, a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron 743 single core CPU, a 250GB hard drive and a 2GB of RAM. This Windows 7-powered laptop comes equipped with a battery that will last for up to 9.5-hour or operating time. The Toshiba Dynabook MX/33 should be available in Japan on October 22nd, 2009 for around $1000.

The HP Compaq CQ61 is ow available in the States. The laptop comes jam packed with a 2GHz AMD Sempron M100 processor, an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics, a 2GB of RAM, a WXGA 15.6-inch screen, a 160GB HDD, a DVD burner, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Priced at $399, the HP Compaq CQ4010 slim desktop is aimed at first PC buyers or users who do basic computing tasks like web, music, email and watching DVD.

Asus has announced another budget-friendly netbook for the Japanese market called the Asus Eee PC 1000HT. This mini laptop is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU and sports a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 display, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, WiFi, Ethernet, Windows XP Home OS and a 6-cell battery that can last up to 6.4 hours. The Asus Eee PC 1000HT is expected to be launched later this weekend in Japan for 37,800 Yen (about $421).

HP has confirmed that the availability of the limited edition HP Envy 15 laptop in the US market. Dubbed as the HP Envy 15 Beats, the new model is a collaboration between HP and rapper Dr Dre. The laptop features a Beats sound system and sport a piano black, high-gloss finish rather than the silver finish of the original model, and come with a signature Beats design as found in the Beats by Dr. Dre line of headphones. The HP Envy 15 Beats also comes bundled with Native Instrument’s Traktor LE software and Audio 2 DJ Traktor LE software with Audio 2 DJ multichannel splitter. The HP Envy 15 Beats will be launched on October 22nd, 2009 for $2,299.

Fujitsu has recently launched two high performance laptops from their Amilo Pi series. The Amilo Pi 3560 and 3660 will come with the powerful nVidia GeForce GT 240M graphics card, a 1GB DDR3 RAM, a BrilliantView display with 16:9 widescreen format and a spill-proof keyboard that protects the notebook against accidentally spilled liquids. The Amilo Pi 3660 has an 18.4-inch HD display, while the AMILO Pi 3560 provides a 15.6 or 16-inch HD LCD display.

A Chinese handset manufacturer Telsda has entered the netbook market by releasing their first 10.1-inch tablet convertible netbook. Weighing at 1.3kg (2.86 lbs.), the netbook is powered by an Intel Atom processor with a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, a built-in 3G, a VGA out, a card reader, and a 1.3MP webcam. The Telsda 10.1-inch tablet convertible netbook retails for sub-$300 in China.

Sony has expanded its 14-inch laptop range by announcing the Sony Vaio CW. The machine is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 2.13GHz processor and boasts a 14-inch 1366 x 768 LED-backlit display, a NVIDIA GeForce GT230M GPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, a Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, a 4-hour battery and Windows 7 OS. The Sony Vaio CW will start shipping at the end of the month for a starting price of $799.99.

Rugged PCs manufacturer Getac today introduced their latest tough tablet PC in the form of the Getac V100. The tablet features a resistive multitouch display, which means users can use the touchscreen with gloves, unlike devices like the iPhone which use a capacitive touchscreen. This makes it ideal for industrial and field professionals who work with dangerous chemicals or perform their job in extreme weather conditions. Even with gloves, the sensitivity and accuracy of the multi-touch screen is extremely high. The screen features 2048×2048 resolution, 100 points per second report rate, and less than 35ms response time. Getac’s Multi-Touch technology will also offer complete compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows 7. The Getac V100 Tablet PC will be released later his month.

Acer is gearing up to release a brand new convertible tablet PC known as the Aspire Timeline 1820P. According to Macles, the 1820P will have the same size and basic specs as the 1810T (or 1410 in a few regions). The main differences are; the 1820P will sport an 11.6-inch multi-touch screen and come with Windows 7 OS only.

e-Book reader manufacturer LBook will enter the multitouch tablet market next year with the LBook T9. The tablet will feature an 8.9-inch multitouch LCD display with an Intel Atom z530 1.6GHz processor, a 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard disk drive, and Windows 7 operating system. Additional specs include WiFi, Bluetooth, optional 3G and a battery life of up to 4 hours. The LBook T9 will be launched in March of 2010 for between $350 and $375.
