AIS has expanded its rugged tablet PC range with the all new AIS 10.4-inch Rugged Tablet PC. Featuring an aluminum-magnesium alloy construction with individually sealed ports, this tablet PC is specially designed for operating in generally extreme conditions and meets the military’s MIL-STD 810F standards for shock, vibration and drop resistance. The system itself is equipped with a 10.4-inch touch-sensitive sunlight readable LCD display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, up to 2GB RAM, a shock-mounted removable hard drive or compact flash, GPS, WiFi, WWAN, Bluetooth and a 6-cell battery. Price starts at $1,499.

The much awaited MSI Wind U210 AMD Neo-based netbook is finally available for pre order in the US via Amazon for $429.99. Coming in either white or black color options, this mini laptop offers a 12.1-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU, an ATI Mobility Radeon X1250 graphics card, a 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard disk, a 1.3MP webcam, WiFi, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, an HDMI port, Bluetooth, a 6-cell battery and Windows Vista Home Premium OS.

The gScreen Spacebook is the first dual screen notebook with two 15.4-inch identical screens designed specifically for mobile professionals who are always need more than one monitor to increase their productivity. This 12 pounds machine is powered by a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor and features a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GT graphics card, a 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a DVD burner, a 9-cell battery and Windows 7 OS. The gScreen Spacebook will start shipping in December through Amazon for under $3,000.

Samsung is getting ready to unleash its new ultra-thin and light notebook, the Samsung X520. Based on the Intel’s Consumer Low Voltage (CULV) platform, the new X520 features a 15.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.3GHz Core 2 Solo SU2700 CPU, a 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a 1.3MP webcam, a 3-in-1 card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI output, a 6-cell battery and Windows Vista Home Premium OS. No details on pricing and release date yet, but according to some sources it will cost around €699 ($1,004).

Twelve South has recently announced the BookArc, which is a metal stand designed to hold any Apple MacBook, from MacBook Air to the 17-inch MacBook Pro. The stand is designed to free up desk space by allowing the MacBook to operate in a vertical position. The BookArc is currently available at the Apple Store and retails for $49.99. A BookArc “six-pack” geared towards design studios and Mac-based offices is being offered at a bundled discount price of $249.99.

Nokia will release their first 10-inch netbook namely the Nokia Booklet 3G. The netbook features an Intel Atom processor with an “HD ready” LCD display, an integrated A-GPS, Ovi Maps software, and HDMI out. The Nokia Booklet 3G also has a built in 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi that will provide high speed Internet access on the go. Its battery provides up to 12-hours of operation time, which is impressive. Nokia will provide more details on the Nokia Booklet 3G Netbook on September 2nd, 2009 at Nokia World.

HP Japan is out with another one of its low-end business notebook PC for the Japanese market. Dubbed as the Compaq 610, the system is powered by a 1.86GHz Intel Celeron T1500 processor and features a 15.6-inch wide LCD screen with 1366 x 768 resolution, an Intel GLE960 Express chipset, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, a DVD Super Multi-Drive, three USB 2.0 ports and Windows XP Professional OS. The HP Compaq 610 retails for 65,100 Yen (about $691).

DosPara Japan comes back with their latest notebook PC namely the Prime Note Galleria GS. The laptop comes jam packed with a 15.4-inch with a 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution, a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, an nVidia GeForce 966M GS with 512MB of VRAM, a 4GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a 500 GB of SATA HDD, a DVD Super Multi, WiFi and HDMI out. Weighing at only 2.7kg, the Prime Note Galleria GS comes with a battery that provides enough juice for around 2.6-hours of operation time.

Samsung has recently added a blue color to its Samsung N120 netbook series. As we all know, this mini laptop was only available in two color options: black or white. However, there’s no word yet when this new model will hit stores.

Currently available in black, white, blue and pink color options, Asus will soon add a new color ‘Silver’ to its Eee PC 1005HA netbook series. This new model is due out in Japan starting next month. As for now, it’s available for preview from Japanese retailer Kakaku for 47,700 Yen (about $509).

The Acer Aspire 1410 is now available in the US market via Cost Central. This 11.6-inch ultraportable laptop was formerly known as the Aspire Timeline 1810T. Cost Central provides the sapphire blue Aspire 1410-8414 model that features a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 ultra-low voltage processor, an Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, a 1366×768 LED-backlight display, a 2GB of DDR2 RAM (upgradeable to 4GB), a 250GB hard drive, and a 6-cell battery providing “up to 6 hours” of operation time. Sadly, the 1410 doesn’t have a built-in optical drive, so you should buy an external DVD player in order to play DVD movies on this laptop. Other features include a built-in webcam, stereo speakers, HDMI, VGA, and SPDIF outputs, 802.11n WiFi, a Gigabit Ethernet port, three USB ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader. Acer’s Aspire 1410-8414 retails for around $460.

MSI will soon introduce a new version of their upcoming 12.1-inch MSI Wind U200 notebook, the MSI Wind U210, in Europe. The U210 will feature a 12.1-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU, an ATI Mobility Radeon X1250 graphics card, up to 2GB RAM, up to 250GB hard disk, a webcam, WiFi, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth, a 6-cell battery and a choice of either Windows XP Home or Windows Vista Home Premium. The MSI Wind U210 Notebook will be sold for 399 Euro (about $568) upwards, depending on the specs.

Dell has finally released the Inspiron 11z CULV laptop with a starting price of $399. Measuring 11.5-inch x 8.4-inch x 0.9-inch and weighing 3-pounds, the laptop features a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 723 CULV processor, an Intel GS45 integrated graphics, a 11.6 inch (1366 x 768 pixels) LCD screen, a 2GB RAM, a 250GB 5400rpm HDD, a 1.3MP webcam, and WiFi. Other features include Ethernet, three USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, and an HDMI output. Dell Inspiron 11z CULV laptop uses Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS.

Currently available in 1GB RAM, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is now available in 2GB RAM configuration. In addition, this new version of netbook also comes with Windows Vista Home Basic, instead of Windows XP Home. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 2GB/Vista version is now available in the US for $429.

This recently introduced Suzuki Neutron 701 MNI netbook may not have any wheel, but it does offer quite impressive specs. It sports a 7.1-inch touchscreen display that can be folded down over the keyboard for use in tablet mode along with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, a 1.3MP webcam, up to 4GB RAM, a 5-in-1 card reader, 3 USB ports, a VGA port, an ExpressCard slot, a 56K modem, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 4-cell battery.

Word has it that the upcoming Apple Tablet will come in two versions, one with a webcam and the other version designed for education. The tablet looks like a giant iPhone with a home button and a 10-inch touchscreen display. It also has the same glossy plastic back as the iPhone. The upcoming Apple tablet will retail for between $700 to $900.

Disney and Asus have finally launched the Disney netbook. Available in both Magic Blue and Princess Pink, the netbook boasts “intuitive and fun applications” as well as “robust safety features” to keep kids safe on the web. The Disney netbook features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 160GB HDD or 16GB SSD, a 1GB of RAM, a 8.9-inch (1024×600) LCD screen, and Microsoft Windows XP OS. You can purchase this netbook for just $350.

Dell has introduced its first Nickelodeon themed netbook which is aimed specially at kids. This particular netbook can be personalized with characters from TV shows including SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly, and features links to Nickelodeon online games and video content. The netbook itself is based on Inspiron Mini 10v which offers a 10.1-inch display with 1024 x 576 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 1GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. This mini laptop will start shipping in October.

Prolink is best known for making networking hardware. The company today released its first 10.1-inch netbook, the Prolink Glee TA-009, which is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, an internal HSUPA modem, and a 3 cell battery. It has a small touchpad with the left and right buttons pushed to the left and right sides instead of below the touchpad. Each Glee TA-009 retails for about $468 (after conversion).
