BenQ has rolled out a new netbook computer in the form of the Joybook Lite U102. Weighing only about 1Kg, this portable machine sports a 10.1-inch WSVGA LED backlit display with 1024 x 600 resolution, an Intel Atom N270/N280 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 250GB HDD, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, 3G, WiFi, a 4-in-1 card reader, 3x USB ports and Windows XP OS.
Dell released the Vostro 1220 in the Japanese market. It is a 12.1-inch business laptop that has an Intel processor options (a 2.20GHz Celeron or 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo), a 1GB or 2GB of RAM, a WXGA (1,200 x 800) glossy display, a 4-cell battery (a 6-cell is available), WiFi, three USB 2.0 ports. FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA output, ExpressCard slot, a multicard reader and a 1.3MP webcam. The 12.1-inch Dell Vostro 1220 is priced at 79,980 Yen ($837) upwards, depending on the specs.
Acer has released a new model of its Aspire One D250 netbook that boasts an HD screen resolution. Unlike its predecessor, this new model comes with a 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 720 resolution as opposed to 1024 x 600 WSVGA. While, the rest of the specs remain the same to the current model which include a 1.60GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, a webcam, an SD card reader, WiFi, Windows XP SP3 OS and a 6-cell battery.
Samsung has unveiled their upcoming Ion-based netbook in the form of the N510. This mini laptop sports a 11.6-inch widescreen display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.66GHz Intel atom N280 processor, a NVIDIA Ion chipset with GeForce 9400M graphics, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, a card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows XP OS and a 6-cell battery.

Both notebooks are equipped with an optional Intel Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Duo processor, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M with GDDR3 1GB VRAM, up to 4GB RAM, a max 1TB storage, an illuminated chiclet keyboard, instant gaming keys, a 2MP camera, a Blu-ray Combo, Windows Vista OS and Creative’s industry-defining EAX and CMSS audio technologies. This new system offers a 15.6-inch HD Ultrabright LED-backlit display with 16:9 ratio and 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, a 2.10GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 processor, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, a 4GB DDR2 memory, a 320GB HDD, an integrated webcam, a DVD burner, a digital media card reader, Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 OS, WiFi and 6-cell Li-ion battery. Hewlett-Packard is out with a brand new Mini netbook PC that is targeted especially at students and mobile professionals. Dubbed as the HP Mini 5101, this stylish machine offers a 10.1-inch diagonal LED display (WSVGA or HD resolution), an Intel Atom processor, a 2GB RAM, a 7,200 RPM hard drive, an optional 128GB SSD, a spill-resistant keyboard, a 2.0MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a choice of either 4 or 6 cell battery. The HP Mini 5101 is expected to be launched in late July for a starting price of $449.
The HP ProBook 4310s is an affordable 13.3-inch laptop that is priced at only $799 upwards. The laptop is powered by Intel Celeron or Core 2 Duo CPU, FreeDOS or Vista operating system, a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive, and an integrated or discrete graphics (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 with a 512MB of RAM and HyperMemory support). The HP ProBrook 4310s also supports up to 8GB RAM, EV-DO, ExpressCard 34, and an SD memory card. The HP ProBook 4310s will be released on July 20th, 2009.
Lenovo has officially announced the availability of its ThinkPad T400s slim notebook series. Gateway today introduced the LT3100 netbook, the company’s first with a productivity-boosting high-definition 11.6-inch display. Weighing at only 3.14 pounds and measuring about an inch thick, the Gateway LT3100 sports a 1.2GHz Athlon 64 L110 processor, an integrated ATI Radeon X1270 graphics card, a WXGA resolution display, a 2GB RAM and a 250GB HDD. Other features include a memory card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity, an integrated webcam, three USB 2.0 ports and a 6-cell Li-ion battery. Daewoo enters the mini-Tablet PC market by releasing its Daewoo C920. Measuring 241.4mm x 209.3mm x 27.7mm and weighing at only 1.21kg, the tablet is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU with an Intel 945 Express, a 1GB of RAM, a 60GB of HDD (1.8-inch @ 4200rpm), and a 8.9-inch touchscreen display with a 1024×600 resolution. The C920 also features a 1.3MP webcam for video conference.

Toshiba will release a new laptop from its Qosmio notebook series for the Japanese market in the end of July 2009. Dubbed as the Qosmio G50W/95JW, the laptop features a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor with a 4GB of RAM, a 500GB of HDD, an Intel PM45 Express Chipset, a 18.4-inch LCD screen with a Full HD resolution, and an nVidia GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB of VRAM. Disney has joined together with laptop maker Asus to release a Disney-branded netbook, known as the Netpal. It is specially designed for kids aged 6 to 12. The Netpal is based on Eee PC that comes equipped with a 8.9-inch LCD display, a Wi-Fi connectivity, an Intel Atom processor, and a Microsoft Windows XP OS with a customized interface featuring themes such as Mickey Mouse, Cars, Toy Story and WALL-E. You can choose from a 16GB SSD or a 160GB hard drive, while color choices include pink with floral designs or blue with Mickey Mouse icons. Each Netpal model is priced at $350 and should be available in July 2009.
