Asus will release the new Eee PC 1003HAG in the Japanese market on May 16, 2009. What makes this netbook cool is that it comes with a 3G WAN module for NTT DoCoMo data network. It also features an Intel Atom N280 CUP running at 1.6GHz, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB of HDD, Wi-Fi, and a webcam. The Asus Eee PC 1003HAG retails for around $721.
The new HP ProBook S series consists of the 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch models. All of these notebooks feature some options including an Intel or AMD CPU, DVD or Blu-Ray drive, and Windows or Linux OS. Available in black and merlot, the ProBook Series S will start at $529 upwards, depending on the specs.
Belkin’s new CushDesk will keep your laptop chilled. It is designed with a slight angle so you can easily view your laptop screen at a more comfortable angle. In addition, its slim design lets you easily store it in your living room or bedroom. The laptop cooling pad is compatible with any laptop for up to a 17-inch display. The CushDesk is now available in the US in pitch black/soft grey, espresso/fuchsia, pitch black/pitch black and pitch black/dark sky for $29.99 each.
Averatec has a new and affordable laptop for the mass market. Dubbed as the N2700, the 12-inch laptop comes jam packed with Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2GHz processor, Intel GMA X4500HD graphics chipset, a 4GB RAM, a 250GB SATA hard drive, 8x SuperMulti dual-layer DVD writer, a 1.3MP webcam, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. The notebook comes preloaded with the 64-bit version of Vista Home Premium and retails for only $699 each.
Sager has added a new gaming notebook to its range, with the introduction of NP5797. The notebook comes packed with a 17-inch WSXGA LCD display with 1680 x 1050 resolution, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M graphics, a 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a DVD writer, Windows Vista Home Premium OS, Fingerprint Reader, 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. The Sager NP5797 is now available starting at $1,799.
Samsung has recently announced at a press conference to launch its N310 premium netbook in South Korea. The netbook comes jam packed with a 10.1-inch LCD screen with an Intel Atom CPU, a 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB HDD. Other features include 802.11bg wireless LAN, HSDPA, WiBRO, a 1.3MP webcam, three USB ports, and a card reader. Available in Turkey Blue and Red Orange, the Samsung N310 is priced at around $620 to $690.
The MSI X-Slim will be launched in Japan in May 2009. This MacBook Air competitor was announced at 2009 CEBIT in Hannover. Measuring at only 19.8mm thick, the X-Slim features a Core 2 Solo SU3500 CPU running at 1.4GHz with a 2GB of RAM, and a choice of a 320GB HDD or a 250GB HDD. This super-slim laptop also has HDMI out, Bluetooth and optional 3G plus Wimax module. The MSI X-Slim is priced at 100,000 Yen ($1,029).
Toshiba UK have announced the Mini NB200, the European version of the Toshiba Dynabook UX 10.1-inch netbook. The netbook has a choice of 1.6GHz N270 or 1.66GHz N280 Intel Atom processor, combined with 945GSE graphics, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an optional integrated 3G mobile broadband. There are also a VGA webcam, three USB 2.0 ports, and a 3D accelerometer that will lock down the 160GB hard-drive if the netbook dropped. As standard the Mini NB200 comes with a 3-cell battery that is good for up to four hours of operation time, meanwhile, its optional 9-cell battery provides up to nine hours of operating time. The Toshiba Mini NB200 will be released in the UK in May 2009 for $465.
Taiwan’s ASUS has added a new business notebook to their range, with the introduction of ASUS P30A. The system is packed with a 13.3-inch 16:9 LED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, up to 4GB of RAM, a choice of either a 250GB 5400RPM drive or a faster 320GB 7200RPM version, Windows Vista OS, a dual-layer DVD writer, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, WiFi, a 3G broadband module, an HDMI port and a 4-cell battery.
Dell Studio 15 is the company’s latest multimedia laptop that combines advanced performance and entertainment capabilities all in one. The system boasts an energy efficient 15.6-inch LCD display supporting 720p and full 1080p resolutions, an optional 256 or 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, 2.0MP camera, WiFi, optional Bluetooth & mobile internet supports, 8-in-1 media card reader, dual USB ports, eSATA and HDMI out. For entertainment features, Dell offers an optional Blu-ray optical drive as well as a 5.1 surround sound speaker system with a 3-watt subwoofer. You can now purchase the HP Pavilion dv3t 13.3-inch widescreen notebook for $798.99 upwards at the HP Official Store. Available in Espresso black and Moonlight white, the laptop comes equipped with a Core 2 Duo T6400 CPU, an optional Blu-ray player, and a 9-cell battery that lasts up to 7 hours. Other features include a webcam and up to 500GB of hard drive under the hood.
Fujitsu comes back with the 10.1-inch netbook from its Loox M series, that provides 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU with 1GB of RAM (upgradeable to 2GB), 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1. Available in red, white, or black, the new Fujitsu Loox M series netbook is priced at 59,800 Yen ($610) in Japan.
The 18.4-inch Qosmio G50, 15.4-inch F50, 18.4-inch GX, and 15.4-inch FX notebooks are powered by Intel Core2Duo CPUs with either GeForce 9600M GT or Intel GM45 Express, HDMI out, DVD Super Multi, and 4GB of RAM. The high-end Qosmio G50 features 640GB of HDD (2×320GB), while the Qosmio F50 only has 320GB of HDD.
All of these laptops are DLNA compatible and support Full HD display, and SpursEngine technology that gives ability to encode HD video at the light of speed for either a BLu-Ray video quality or YouTube’s HD mode. The Qosmio G50, F50, GX, and FX notebooks are priced at $3,250, $2,138, $2,444, and $2,141, respectively.

This ultra slim e-folder ‘MAC Folder’ is equipped with a touch screen display, a large-button keyboard, two built-in speakers, MAC operating system, Bluetooth and wireless LAN. Unfortunately, it’s just a concept at this stage, but who knows it might come into production someday, we’ll see!
The MSI Wind U115 is now available in France for around €550 ($718). The 10-inch netbook sports a 1024 x 600 display with Intel Atom Z530 CPU that consumes less power than the Atom N270 CPU found in most netbooks. What makes the MSI Wind U115 more special is that it uses a hybrid storage system consisting of a hard drive and solid state disk. As a result, the MSI Wind U115 has an extra long battery life. Its 6 cell battery provides enough juice for up to 13 hours of operation time on a single charge. You can also use 9 cell battery for 25 hours of operation time.
UK computer maker Stone just launched its first netbook, the Stone Neo 101. The 10.1-inch netbook features an Intel Atom CPU, 1024 x 600 pixels display, WiFi and optional 3G module, 1.3MP webcam, 2 USB ports, ExpressCard/34 slot, and 4 cells battery. Weighing at 1.3kg or 2.9 pounds, the Stone Neo 101 Netbook is priced at £275 ($406) excluding VAT with a 3 years warranty.
Acer has unveiled their latest multimedia notebook called the Acer Aspire 8935G. Though, not much info is given at the moment, but from what we heard, the system will sport an 18.4-inch LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics, backlit keyboard, Blu-ray optical drive, Windows Vista Home Premium OS and an 8-cell battery.
You are lucky if you are in Japan right now because you can buy the Acer Aspire One D250 or AS3935 netbook. Priced at around $500, the 10.1-inch Aspire One D250 comes with either an Intel Atom N270 or N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of HDD, Intel 945GSE, Bluetooth, and Microsoft XP Home OS. Meanwhile, the 13.3-inch Aspire AS3935 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU with DVD Super Multi, 160GB of HDD, and 2GB of RAM.
Packard Bell has announced its new EasyNote Butterfly notebook for the European market. This notebook is equipped with a 13.4-inch LED-backlit display, an Intel Ultra Low Voltage processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics, a multitouch trackpad, Dolby Sound system, HD webcam, HDMI connector, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Other optional features include 3G and a choice between a standard hard drive or a solid-state drive.
