Toshiba will launched the new Dynabook NX Series notebook that features a 12.1 inch LED backlighted LCD screen with WXGA resolution (1280×800). The desktop replacement also offers a 1.20GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor that supports up to 3GB2GB of RAM, a choice of 128GB of SSD or 160GB of SATA HDD, and DVD Super Multi Drive, Wi-Fi b/g/n, three USB ports, e-Sata port, and SD card slot. The hard drive version retails for approx. €1200, meanwhile the SSD variant retails for around €1930.

Asus has decided to update its upcoming Eee PC 901A with a new color. This famous netbook is now available in a cool Azure Blue. In case you didn’t know, the Eee PC 900A is basically an Eee PC 900 variant with an Intel Atom CPU instead of the original Intel Celeron chip.

Hewlett-Packard has rolled out a new notebook PC in Voodoo line up with the latest Intel Core 2 Extreme processor. The 15.4-inch ENVY M:152 comes equipped with Santa Rosa platform, Core 2 Extreme X7800 processor, up to 4GB RAM, 1680 x 1050 resolution, Nvidia GeForce 8600GT graphics card with 512MB memory, expandable hard drive and dual layer DVD burner. The laptop even features a TV Tuner, 2.0MP webcam, microphone, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, and a/g/n wireless. The Hewlett-Packard ENVY M:152 is priced at approx. $3300.

Toshiba Satellite P205D is a 17-inch laptop that comes in two models — P205D-S7479 and P205D-S7438. These desktop replacements are based on AMD processor. The Satellite P205D-S7479 comes with latest ATI graphics while the Satellite P205D-S7438 is a value-for-money product. The high-end laptop is powered by 2.2GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 processor, up to 4GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, 1440×900 resolution, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 graphics card with 256MB memory, a/g/n wireless, webcam, microphone, and Windows Vista operating system. Meanwhile, the Satellite P205D-S7438 comes with similar specifications except 1.9GHz Athlon 64 X2 TK-55 processor, 160GB hard drive, and ATI Radeon Xpress X1200M. Both laptops are now available for $1,350 and $850 respectively.

Toshiba’s latest Satellite notebook, the A105-S4344 is powered by Core 2 Duo CPU. Weighing only 6.0 pounds, the A105-S4344 features a 1.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 CPU, 2GB of DDR2 memory, 200GB SATA HDD, a dual-layer DVD burner, and a 15.4 inch widescreen display. Other specifications include four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, 5-in-1 memory card reader, and a biometric fingerprint reader.

RoverBook Voyager V553 laptop is powered by either an Intel Centrino Duo or an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2.4 Ghz and up to 4MB cache. In addition, it can store most of your valuable files with its 160GB SATA HDD. The notebook PC also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS 256MB video card, which is more than enough for those gamers out there. It also adopts a 5-in-1 card reader which is compatible with (SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro) flash cards.

HP recently issued another novelty – G60. This is a 15.6″ widescreen notebook out of which has not been accompanied by unnecessary brouhaha. Display is executed on a special Brightview technology and has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.

Asus will release the gold version of its Eee PC 900A netbook. It won’t be made of gold. It’ll just be painted gold. The specs are also still the same with the regular Eee PC 900.

Good news for those who lived in Japan. Averatec has decided to launch its new Averatec netbook in the Japanese market on October 15th, 2008. The new Averatec AVN0270N is powered by a 10.2-Inch LCD Screen with a WSGA resolution (1,024×600), a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, up to 2GB, and 160GB of HDD. I think it is better than the Asus Eee-PC. The netbook also features Microsoft Windows XP home, 3 USB ports, a multicard reader, WiFi b/g, 1.3MP camera and a battery life span of 2.5 hours.

Toshiba has issued an updated model of subnotebook Dynabook SS RX2 with 12.1″ display, which is the easiest in its class (only 858 g) and can work out an incredibly long time on one charge – 12.5 hours.
SS RX2 is equipped with a processor Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 ULV (ultralow supply voltage, 1.2 GHz clock speed). The amount of RAM in a subnotebook is 3 GB, and graphics capabilities represented by the standard graphics card Intel GS45 Express.

Weighing 1.19kg, it is powered by Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Other features include a 1.3M webcam, 4-in-1 memory slot, 54Mbps wireless LAN and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. The LG 10-inch Xnote MINI netbook is priced at 699,000 Korean Won.

Panasonic has updated its Toughbook line of rugged laptops with the Toughbook F8. It is a 14.1-inch laptop which is claimed to be the lightest 3G-ready notebook in the world. Weighing at 3.7 pounds, the F8 comes with a built-in carry handle and is powered by a standard Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, up to 4GB of RAM, and a 160GB shock-mounted hard drive. Other features include 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Gobi 3G technology that allows the notebook to stay connected on different mobile broadband carriers around the world. The cool factors for this tough notebook are its magnesium alloy chassis, spill-resistant keyboard, and flexible internal connectors. The F8 is designed to survive drops of 12 inches for the laptop itself and 30 inches for the shock-mounted hard drive and 6-ounce spills and up to 220 pounds of pressure on the lid. The Panasonic F8 14-inch Toughbook Laptop will be available in November 2008.

Sony has a new line of Vaio AR series laptops with options for Blu-ray and CableCard. The $1,700 VAIO AR630E offers the Blu-ray drive alone, while the $2,400 VAIO AR660U features the CablecCard, and the $3,300 VAIO AR690U does both. These new laptops are also powered by Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 or T7500 processors, and Vista Home or Ultimate. Other features include a 1.3MP webcam, 1440 x 900 or 1920 x 1200 17-inch display, 8400M GT and 8600M GT NVIDIA video graphic, dual 160GB SATA HDDs and HDMI out.

The brand new HP HDX16t entertainment laptop comes equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB graphic card, 16 inch LCD display, up to 3GB RAM, up to 320GB hard drive, DVD burner/Blu-ray Combo Drive, integrated HDTV tuner, HDMI and VGA outputs and Wi-Fi N connectivity. The desktop replacement uses Microsoft Windows Vista as its operating system. The HP HDX16t Notebook PC retails for $1,374.99 upwards, depending on the specs.

Weighing only 2.9 pounds, the ultra portable NC2400 features a 1.2 GHz Intel Core Solo U1400 ULV-edition, 512MB DDR2-SDRAM, a 60GB hard drive, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for extra security, and a 12.1 inch WXGA TFT display. The laptop also has two USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, and a Type 2 PC Card slot.

Kaga Electronics released the ultra portable Flybook V33i for Japan. Its 8.9 inch WSVGA screen may be small, but it’s perfect for productivity applications. This Flybook features a 1.1 GHz Intel Pentium M 733 ULV processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and a 60GB HDD.

The Mouse Computer G1000 is a 10.2 inch netbook that offers 1,024 x 600 resolution with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Multi-memory card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, and a 1.3MP camera. Weighing at 1.4kg, the laptop is powered by the Microsoft Windows XP Home and a 6-cell battery.

Packard Bell iPower GX is the company’s latest gaming laptop that comes with a cool “street art cover”. This gaming monster has 1,920 x 1,200 resolution LCD display with nVidia 9800M GTS 1GB video card, Intel Core 2 Quad Q9100 processor, Draft-N Wi-Fi connectivity and Optional Blu-ray drive. Priced at 1,499 Euro, the Packard Bell iPower GX will be released in October 2008.

The Thinkpad X200t comes in either 12.2 inch WideView MultiTouch LED Backlight or WideView Superbright LED Backlight or WideView Standard WXGA Panel. You can choose between a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300, 1.6GHz SL9300 or 1.86GHz SL9400 CPUs. The tablet PC also offers up to 4GB of Memory, a choice of 128GB of SSD or 320GB of 5400rpm HDD or 200GB of 7200rpm HDD. For the connectivity, the X200t supports WiFi, WiMAX (Optional), WWAN (with GPS), Blu-Ray disc Drive, three USB ports and 4 cells or 8 cells battery. The Lenovo Thinkpad X200t will be released in October 2008.
