MiTAC the company that owns Mio and Navman has recently launched netbooks at IFA in Berlin. The new model, called the MiStation, will feature 8.9″ screen and powered by 1.6Ghz Intel Atom processor. It will also come with 20GB SSD or 60GB hard drive, optional Windows XP or Linux and the usual array of connectivity options including wireless (b and g) and Bluetooth 2. Other tech specs include a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, and VGA out. The model will be hitting Europe at the end of November and prices will start from £282 for the 60GB Linux version. The 20GB SSD model would cost around £400 a spokesperson for the company said.

Here comes laptop that is not just looking green from the outside, but also on the inside and more, introducing Bamboo Series Notebook from ASUS. The company claims throughout every phase of the laptop’s life – from its conception, production and use to its eventual recycling and disposal, the bamboo-clad laptop is truly green. In developing the laptop, the company enforced its management to utilize tools that strictly adhered to the green principles. The Bamboo Series will come in both 12.1- and 11.1-inch variants, weighing 1.57kg and 1.25kg, respectively. Both will feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors, DDR2 RAM, and LED-backlit displays, with minor hardware differences for each.

Fujitsu Korea released its Santa Rosa based tablet PC, the Lifebook T2010, in Korea market. The tablet PC adopts 12.1-inch wide touch screen, 1GB memory and SATA 120GB HDD. The system also runs on Core 2 Duo U7600 processor and can be used for up to 12 hours with a large capacity battery.

MSI Releases GX400 14” Gaming Notebook, With MSI exclusive Turbo Drive Engine Technology – enabling you to overclock your CPU while the system switch to Air Conditioned mode. It features Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, up to 4 GB of DDR2 RAM and up to 500 GB HDD, and Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT VGA. GX400 will also include optional DVD burner or Blu-Ray drive, webcam and HDMI output. On the look department, MSI applies Color Film Print technology for its surface, which has brighter color and is soothing to the touch and scratch and fingerprint proof, providing the best protection for the GX400. MSI updated its notebook line up with the new MSI PR621. PR621 features the latest Intel® Centrino®2 with vPro™ Technology, and introducing new advances in remote maintenance and proactive security that are built right into the hardware – enabling identification and termination of threats before they ever reach the OS using hardware-based In-bound and outbound filtering. The 15.6″ notebook is equipped with Fingerprint Reader for Data Security, Built-in with 1.3 mega pixel webcam with an internal mic, and it weighs only 2.6 kilograms making it one of the most portable notebook currently available. NEC has just revealed its latest Tablet PC, The 12PNC-W2/B2 (12″) and 15PNC-W2/B2 (15″). Both will be powered by ATOM CPU Z530 @ 1.6GHz, with optional 512MB or 1GB of RAM, 80GB of HDD, and touchscreen LCD. It will also come with optional Windows XP or Vista Operating System.

Sotec Winbook DN8010 packs with a 1.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, 512MB of DDR2 memory, 40GB HDD, a DVD Super-Multi drive, and a 17-inch WXGA+ (1440 x 900) display. The laptop measures 394 mm x 287 mm x 39 mm and weighs 8.17 pounds. It will be available August 29th in Japan for US$1,023.

The Fujitsu LOOX P70T/V is an ultra portable Tablet PC with just 2.2 pounds. This Tablet PC uses a 1.2GHz Intel Core Solo U1400 CPU, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, 30GB HDD, and a 8.9 inch WXGA touch screen display. It provides two USB 2.0 ports, 802.11 a/b/g WLAN, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and an SD card slot. The Fujitsu LOOX P70T/V goes on sale September 25th with the price of US$2142

This Epson Endeavor NJ5000Pro is powered by either a 1.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 or 2.33 GHz T7600 processor, and features 512MB of DDR-533 RAM, and 512MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 video graphics. Other features on this 6.5 pound system include a 40GB HDD, CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and Gigabit Ethernet. The laptop is available now in Japan for around US$1,445.

Samsung has just launched another laptop as a contender in the lightweight arena. Samsung X360 weighs at only 2.8-pounds and 0.66-inches thick, seems to want to compete directly with Macbook Air. X360 features Intel Centrino 2 Processor, 128 GB Solid State Drive (SSD), up to 4 GB RAM, built-in HDMI connection, a 34mm express card slot and VGA output. It also comes with integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity. Samsung claims the laptop can stay up for 10 hours after a single recharge. It will hit shelves around September, costing approximately between $2200 and $3000.

The Tsukumo N170J-702E provides a 17 inch widescreen WUXGA display and powered by 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T2700 processor, 1GB of DDR2-667 RAM, 80GB HDD, 512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M video graphics, and a DVD Super-Multi drive. Measuring 397 mm x 294 mm x 44 mm and weighing 8.4 pounds, the laptop sells for $2,131 and is currently available in Japan.

MSI has recently announced a new model to its line of notebook, the MSI EX300. MSI boasts its athletic fashionable design housing the latest technology underneath. The EX300 features 13.3-inch WXGA display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD3450 VGA, up to 320GB HDD, up to 4GB of RAM, and a Blu-ray drive. It is also equipped with HDMI output connector for external Hi-Def display and fingerprint reader for enhanced data security. EX300 will be Available in Dazzling Blue or Brilliant Red colors.

Dell has just unveiled two new Vostro laptops designed specifically to meet the needs of institutions on limited budgets in the world’s emerging economies. Which means it may not be available in the U.S or Europe at least for the time being. The affordable laptops come in the form of Vostro 14,1″ A840 and 15,6″ A860 model. Both feature optional Celeron to Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 120GB/160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi Connectivity, and DVD Burner. They will also come with choice of Ubuntu® Linux® or Microsoft® Genuine Windows Vista® operating systems. Pricing for the new Vostro products will vary by configuration and country.

Asus R1E tablet PC has approved by the FCC so you should be able to find it on Asus’s site in a few days. This 13.3-inch convertible tablet is based on Santa Rosa platform, which sports Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 / T7300 / T7100 processor, up to 4GB RAM, max 160GB hard drive, 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth, dual layer DVD burner, GMA X3100 graphics and Windows Vista operating system.
