MSI will be releasing a new 13.3-inch laptop called the VR340. It features a dual-core Intel CPU, WXGA panel, up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM, dual-layer DVD burner, a trio of USB ports, 5-in-1 multicard reader and a six-cell battery. No word on the price, but chances are it wont be a biggie like their other laptops.
Toshiba just released a “budget” notebook which offers loads of power and functionality with a lower price than other Core Duos. The Toshiba A105-S4014 Core Duo Laptop comes with 1.83 GHz T2400 Core Duo Processor, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, 1024MB RAM, 15.4″ Display, 120GB Hard Drive, Finger Print Reader, among others. The price is about $1400 US.
Toshiba is introducing their new gaming laptop called the P105-S921. At 1.83 GHz, the Intel Core Duo T2400 and the 1GB of DDR memory plus a 160GB hard drive, give you all you need in a laptop.
HP will release a new Asus Eee-PC competitor in April 7th, 2008. Known as the HP 2133, this Ultra Mobile PC comes equipped with 1.2GHz/1.6GHz VIA C7-M processor, VIA Chrome 9 graphics chipset, 8.9inch display with 1,280 x 768 resolution, 120GB/160GB hard drive, 1GB/2GB DDR2 RAM, Windows Vista Home Basic/Business/SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The HP UMPC 2133’s price tag starts from $550 upwards, depending on the configuration.
For all those people who look for something more than a laptop here it is. Lucoms Ultra Mobile PC has a 7 inch screen that is perfect for watching media or using the internet. An addition to the beautiful screen this model has an Intel Pentium M900 processor, 512MB of memory, and a choice of a 30GB or 60GB hard drive.

MSI has upgraded their GX-6000 laptop and is now called the GX-6000 enhanced. It comes with new 45nm processing technology, a RAM of up to 3GB, and the hard drive is 320GB, a Turbo button on the keyboard to increase the CPU speed by up to 20 percent, a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 3D chipset, 5.1 channel audio output, SPDIF and HDMI connections, a 15.4″ WXGA+ display, integrated bluetooth and 1.3 megapixel camera.
Korea will be getting the new Pixel Lab Ripple Tablet Note T8300. It’s powered by Intel’s Penryn T8300 2.4GHz processor along with an enhanced touch panel that supports stylus and finger use, optional 3.5G HSDPA wireless connectivity, 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a 7-in-1 memory card reader.

The handy handle on the top creates a visual connection to the OLPC, moreso than the Eee PC itself. This, of course, (coupled with the price tag) makes it obvious that it’s at least partly aimed at the education market.
With specs like these, and a price tag like that, this little number will be definite competition for the Eee PC. I don’t think it looks as nice, but looks aren’t everything. Only the sales numbers will say for sure.

Panasonic has announced that their Toughbook 19 will be getting an upgrade. The sturdy laptop now has a 1.06GHz U7500 processor (2MB L2 cache), up to 4GB of SDRAM, 80GB shock-mounted HDD, 10.4-inch daylight-readable display, a battery good for around seven hours, optional integrated WWAN / GPS / 2-megapixel webcam and a magnesium alloy case. The new upgraded Toughbook 19 is going for about $3,199.

This is the Million Dollar Laptop from Luvaglio, a London based company. It seems that laptop would be shaped out of pricey metals and encrusted with diamonds and other precious jewelry. The specs are still unknown.

Asustek rolled out the Asus W2Pb entertainment laptop computer series that incorporates HD DVD reader and a 17-inch WUXGA+ screen with higher 1920×1200 resolution. Other specs include HDMI output, DVB-T tuner, a TV tuner and SPDIF, and speakers system with built-in subwoofer. The laptop is also powered by an Intel Core Duo processor T7200 running at 2.0GHz, ATI Radeon X1700 graphics card with 256MB of video memory, 2GB RAM, and 160GB hard drive at 5400rpm. Weighing 7.95 lbs, the W2Pb has a pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium Operating system.
